Noticing the disciples' surprise at seeing Jesus talking to a woman, we examine our own attitudes toward others. Who are the people that we naturally shun or condemn, and who are those who we might naturally feel more inclined to include and accept? How often have we found ourselves unconsciously contradicting the message of the gospel and the example of Jesus in how we treat others? Jesus goes on to show us the importance of changing our perspective from our own earthly needs and desires in order to be aware of the Kingdom business that God has called us to be about.
